Recently I came across that my internet connection bandwidth is used by a program in my pc without noticing. I checked if this is because of the windows and Microsoft auto update process, but it appeared not. Having a limited bandwidth internet connection this thing was a real pain. Sadly I cannot directly guess which program consumes that.
So I then looked for different reasons and decided to tackle the cause by my own. To do that I downloaded and installed the NetLimitter program which can be used to identify and limit the internet connection for different programs.
From that I could find out the bandwidth is consumed constantly by svchost.exe which is the service for host programs in windows. But from that i could not identify which is exactly the program that is using this service to download. Although I could not find the program as a precaution I limited the download rate for that svchost service to a minimum level so that I t wont download anymore garbage.
